Today's Bullets

It just amazes me that you can keep going back to a place thats been pounded over the years and still find stuff. I got the 2 bullets at a camp site thats been hit by everyone and their brother. I'm not sure what the brass item is at the bottom, so any help would be appreciated

Re: Today's Bullets

Nice minnies John are you sure you didn`t enlarge the one on the right? ;D

Re: Today's Bullets

That brass thingy looks like it could be a hook from a belt? Nice finds!

Re: Today's Bullets

I know what you mean, I got a Super 12 coil for my MXT and hunted several sites that have been hunted for 30 years. I was amazed but the equipment is a little better now. Yep the brass piece is a belt adjuster, the hook part went into the hole in the belt to fit your waist. The ground around here is perfect for relic hunting, nice finds by the way. Tim

Re: Today's Bullets

Everytime I dig a 69 I almost have to laugh because of the size......Nice job on the belt hook as well.

I agree.. man.. that 12" is something else... I posted last year about it when I first started using it... or got the hang of it I should say... there was some "question" about the depth I was digging .69s at in a New York camp... but if people knew how hard this place had been hunted they would get it!!! That coil reaches deeper then I feel like digging sometimes!!!!

Re: Today's Bullets

I thought about one of those 12" Spider coils, but i got the new D2 DD coil that Whites just put out. I havent put it to alot of use yet, but it found the 2 bullets at around 9 inches down with ease. The coil is a nice happy medium between my stock coil and my 12" Excellerator coil

Re: Today's Bullets

big coils mean more depth / lots of deep signals as a rule but then you gotta diggem n  a bit of junk after a 10 to 12inch dig is a big left down >:( but it often can revel things missed by older shallower hunting models and coils . :o

Great Saves, Congrats!

P.S. If you look at my post today, I found a IH and a Barber dime at a site I have hunted many, many times. A place is never hunted out.

Re: Today's Bullets

Congrats on some great finds. Hey you are not to far from me. Just 45 minutes away. Do you hunt with Larry And Tom? BB and ME22. I was born in Sikeston, MO.
