Today's cornfield finds

Well, I HAD to go back today to the field. Thinking the mate to that half penny might be waiting out there just wouldn't allow me to stay in the warm house. I did find a couple mates, but.....they were twins to the round balls found. I am thinking this was some hunter's favorite place for game. Perhaps even the KGII was dropped by a hunter. I have a little over 1/3 of the field left before moving on to the next much, much larger ones. Thanks for looking.

It always nice to find the missing pieces of things we have found, congrats! Are you going to be able to finish what's left of that field before the winter sets in or you hunt thru winter? Best wishes and HH!

I will definitely finish this one and there is a smaller one that may get started and done. Right now an elevated rail line separates the two, so I think at one time they were combined into one larger one. Hopefully the finds will continue over into that part. Best wishes back your way!
