Today's Find
After going through at least $2,000.00 in quarters in the past 4 weeks I finally hit the big score today. I got a call from my daughter who works at a bank that does not get much coin. (Got about 50 from there).
"Dad, I have something old and unusual for you".
I jump in my car still buttoning my shirt. I'm blowing lights as I hit the road. I'm burying the needle as I barreling down the highway at record breaking speeds. Luckily there were no State Revenue Collectors on the road.
I sprint into the bank and slide across the floor stopping in front of the tellers window.
There's my daughter with a big grin on her face. I can tell that she is proud of what she found, and about to hand over to me.
It's the same look she gave me when I got the roll of 64's. Maybe a bit more promising. My heart is throbbing,the adrenelin is flowing.
"Dad I spotted that silver edge right away" as she hands me a single 1963 Quarter.
Of course I made a big deal over it. I complemented her on her skill ,and eagle eye in spotting such an old quarter, and thanked her profusely.
Afterall, it's the thought that counts.
