Today's finds and mor--el
I got access to a new field through a friend at work.His son had just worked up 30 acres and is planning to plant corn soon. We got a couple of inches of rain Fri. and Sat., so I thought I'd see if it was enough to show anything. It started out poorly ,not much was showing and what was wasn't promising. An hour and a half in finally produced a point.
A short while later I spotted this celt. Luckily I had the prescence of mind to take the in situ photo. I almost just flicked it out of the mud because it didn't look like much.
All cleaned up, interesting poll, looks almost grooved for easier hafting.
I'm returning tomorrow, I only got to cover half the field. I had to meet my Brother to hunt mushrooms.It must be my lucky day we found 29.
