If I attached any twice sorry, I will try to post the ones I mean to.

the single coin with the volcano on it I have no clue what it is.

1 "i believe" 1868? shield Nickel
1 unknown date liberty nickel
1 1943 three pence
1 1928 six pence ( both pence are Australian)
3 possible Indie, Aramaic coins?
4 Filipino coins 1940's era......one of which is missing the 1 in the date, does not look like it was knocked off or scratched off...

Not to sound like a treasure hunter but any idea on values....etc?:icon_scratch:

Here are the others

Perhaps not much more than silver value in terms of $$$ Since they were your Grandad's , there is another kind of value associated with them.

what sort of can were they in - and for that matter - are you running into a lot of random old cans/tins/jars (full of nails perhaps) - sometimes that stuff is worth a lot - neat finds!

an old electrical tape tin can stass or strass can't remember at this point, but have a pic of it somewhere too, will load it later. I didn't run into any old nails, but alot of older tools, I did find his challenge coin he got from a younger soldier when he was at Fort Benning several years back..he was in WWII and he donated his clicker to the tv show witness to war when he was featured on there, we still have some digging to do through a lot of his stuff, on a side note, I am proud of him he was one of the many airborne dropped all over France, he landed outside of Bastogne..? SP..he survived a mortar attack only to get shrapnel in his head and back, when the guy in the crater next to him was blown in half....can you imagine what that was like..? I am more interested in digging through it all than detecting at this point, just to see what history I can find.
