Hi all! Had a pretty good day today,, found lots of cool stuff. (had my share of trash too). The train is cast iron, about 4-5 inches in length, the lamp part has a patent date of 1865, and the 25-25 shells are made by Stevens, from 1903, and only used for a few years. The rest is just good stuff!

Great finds Musclecar! When I was a kid (very long time ago) My grandmother had a complete set of those old iron trains, 5 or 6 of em including the engine & caboose! They sat on the windowsill in her kitchen for years...........wish I had em now! We'll have to get together & hunt, maybe this spring. ;D

Great relic finds! The cast iron train car is cool. There may be other pieces to it at the site.It would be worth a rehunt anyway. Best of luck and HH!

Nice shotgun shells. I always thought those were fun to find and research. Any time I find any type of bullet it makes me wonder what they were shooting at and why. Thanks for the pictures and post :)
