Got permission to hunt in this tiny village along the Bacchiglione River near Padova - reputed to have been occupied by Germans in WWII. Pleased to find a German uniform button near a religious medal painted black....confirming the oral history perhaps. Also medieval strap end, brooch (?), a few coins including a copper Venetian ca. 1250-1300. First time using Gary's Hot program for Deus...

Pretty cool, I got permission to hunt Battery Vettor Pisani down the street from our house about six years ago. A historian I went to uni with is now a professor in Venezia, we did not find half the artifacts you have found, mostly money and fairly new. But if you head over to Lungomare S. Felice, leaving Punta Sabbioni, when you get to Fotre Vecchio take a left at the break wall where that tourist pirate ship is often at, there is a big field there that has some great hunting in regards to artifacts.

I have hunted that field with a fee others at least 20 times and always did very well. I am not sure if the ground shifts lots there or what, but many times I was dead certain I hunted that place out.

If you wait until after next Monday they are going to cut the field so you can hunt it better. I was just down there and went by but it was too tall.

Have a good day and go hunt that out in the morning, then head back over to P. Sab and hit the fort towers there by the beach, and wait until evening and go hit all the tourist resort beaches like Marina, Europa, San Angelo. Those are the best ones I know of, in a single evening it is too easy to clear a few hundred Euro. Get there early enough in the security guards shift and they tell you where tourist have reported to life guards about loosing their jewellery.

Marina and San Angelo you can buy day passes to come in, Angelo is like 5 Euro and the other I think is 8; point is both are bug family resorts and the play grounds you are allowed to MD, they always pay for them selves. Just before we moved back State side my son went to both about a month prior to the season starting and came home with some good money, and that was before the season started.

Good luck, let me know if you want some spots to hunt, we have had our house there the last 16 years and we have hunted all over. From what I found in Italy you do not need a job, just an MD.
