Today's finds
After working until 3:30, went out to a Tulsa area park and hunted the back side, (furthest from the major thoroughfare). On this same property is the Tulsa garden center, (its no secret, it was obviously hit before) which used to be a home many years ago. While we were pulling the below little beauty out, it started pouring down rain... grr. So we switch to the ATPro...double grr. Me and this particular metal detector don't get along very well, but luckily the rain let up after about 20 minutes. It was a pretty heavy rain, but under the shelter of the trees we didn't get incredibly wet and it was still rather warm. We didn't find anything else incredibly cool, but I am more than happy to add my first standing liberty to the collection.
All in all it was a great day, we got to play in the rain, get some sunshine, and scratch another coin off my list. On the way home there were fireworks in every direction and I'm off for the next two days. What more could a girl want?
I apologize that I didn't take pictures of the other stuff, but you all know what dirty clad and pulltabs look like, so I figured I would spare us both.
The final count was
$1.14 gas rebate
a washer
a tag from a rose bush "promise"
assorted pull tabs and bottle tops
and a partridge in a...no no wait that's not right
and one 1930 standing liberty quarter.
Me thinks tomorrow a few estate sales are in order, then maybe a little detecting.
Thanks for looking and HH friends
