Got my new minelab 800 in today, tons to learn on this but thought well I'll try it out at the house first. So in our parking area found my first coin with my new metal detector. nothing valuable just a penny but it lit up as a 20 and not too deep so I figured why not. took a few seconds but found it. Looks like 2000

Congratulations on the new machine. May it bring you many great finds in the future. Learn to use it well, use it often and they will come. Keep swingin.

Nice. I keep finding the more I use my Nox the better I get with it! Remember to go back over spots a few months after you’ve been using your machine. Surprising how much stuff you miss while learning!

Glad you got your first coin with your new detector. The best is yet to come !

Pretty cool just wait your gonna be amazed at the cool stuff your going to find. Keep rippin

Have fun with the new machine! :occasion14:

Good luck with your new machine! Knock on doors and definitely detect open fields and city/county parks and farms.

Congrats on your first coin found! There's gold in them there hills... keep digging!

Best of luck to you with the Nox. A penny today, and Much Treasure to come your way...just on the horizon.

thats the hope;) so have you guys detected in the snow? does the minelab have any issues with that?

Detecting in the snow is just fine.

You'll like it. Try to use the factory presets for awhile till you get used to it.

Nice! Once you learn the 800 you will be amazed! I’m still learning it myself! Good luck

weather is going to ham me up for a while now...but hopefully soon it will be ok to head out.

Turn sensitivity down to 8-10 indoors, lay some coins, nails, bottle caps out an inch or 2 apart & sweep over them from different directions. Try different modes, F2 settings, recovery speeds, sweep pace, etc. You will learn a lot about the machine. Then, rearrange the targets ( move the trash closer/ farther from the coins, etc) & start over! Good luck & have fun!

Nice start!

Keep it somewhere special...it will be a great reminder of humble beginnings when the "bigger things" come.

Best way to learn a machine. Clean out your yard
