Today's Haul

I picked up 4 $250 boxes of Strings Wrapped MWR from my credit union.

Box 1: Skunk :-\
Box 2: Skunk...I thought dimes were supposed to be consistent....this isn’t cool…never got 2 skunks in a row…never… :dontknow:
Box 3: Skunk...wow...3 in a row...haven't seen this yet. Guys in the forum say you have to ride out the skunks...not like these dimes are all 2011 UNCs...nice mix of years and conditions...just no silver...it has to be here somewhere...but about the only thing that could save me from a terrible day would be my first Merc. :'(
Box 4: Second roll...sure enough...the only silver CRH of the day....1945 Silver Merc. Epic Win! :headbang:

Also, bought a collection today from someone for about $50 less than spot. Got 20 Barber Quarters, 1 Barber Half, 2 Walking Halves, 2 Franklin Halves (A 1949 in really great shape in a hard plastic case)....and a roll of Rosie Dimes....15 War Nickels....and 6x 1965 Kennedy Halves in BU Condition. Throw a Barber Dime, Indian Head Penny, and a V Nickel in there just for fun too.

They aren't consistent everywhere. Last year I averaged 1 silver per 8 boxes. This year is a bit better so far (around 1 per 4 boxes), and I'm sitting on about a ~$3000 skunk streak.

Re: Today's Haul

Before this $1000 order this past week I was doing pretty good... 1.375 per box. Of course...that was only over 8 boxes... Now I'm even.... 12/12....1 per box. What a difference 2 states away makes...
