I've detected at this property for many years. It never ceases to amaze me how I keep managing to find good stuff. It's got some Civil War history and was a spot for many homes and shops over the centuries. I think my favorite find of the day is the button. Looks like it's got some gold gilt still on it. Haven't had any luck looking up the name of the manufacturer though. The minieball is interesting. The part of the property I found it in wasn't near any of the old structures that had been in the area, wasn't near any Civil War encampments I knew of, and was littered with modern bullets and shell casings. The farmer who owns the property has constantly suggested I search there though, and I'm glad I took his advice today!

Found a couple of small buckles, including what looks like a small D buckle, a clip of some sort marked with the word "President". Also have this weird rectangular thing with some kind of tongue in the center. No idea what it is. There's also this fragment of some kind of ornamental piece with a floral design. It's very thin. Was bent up when I found it. Has some kind of clipping piece on the back. Please let me know if you have any information about what this stuff is. I'd love to hear from you.

Great assortment of finds. The President clip is for a suspender clip. The other item with the tongue I believe is a drawer pull.

I dug a bullet at this location this summer which I had thought was a minieball as well, but this bullet is much bigger and has the white oxidation most Civil War bullets get. The bullet from this summer was brown in color and shorter, though everything else about it screams minieball to me. If people are interested, I can include pictures of it here as well.

Take a look at this: https://msa.maryland.gov/megafile/msa/speccol/sc2900/sc2908/000001/000524/html/am524--18.html
About halfway down the list is Baltzell and Davidson dry goods, of Baltimore. Wild guess because it had all three.

Congratulations on a nice batch of finds. You did find a civil war minie ball this time. My guess from the look of it without measuring would be .58 caliber.

Sandog found your button. I have found several buttons from the 1800s for merchants as backmarks instead of the manufacturer. So you now have a decent time frame for your button.

Stay safe, good luck and keep swingin.

Will do. I appreciate all the comments people have posted so far. I decided to compare the minieball I found today with the one I found this summer again. I'm pretty sure they are the same size after all. The summer bullet's tip was deformed, presumably after striking a hard surface, hence why it appears shorter. I also have some reproduction minieball in .58 caliber and they appear to be identical.

Great assortment of Brass finds and Minnie's are always a thrill to dig.

You have a sweet spot there.

I'll always be grateful to the farmer who lives there. He's let me dig for a long time, and I hope I can get another chance to visit before New Year's.

Sites like that are so awesome- they just keep giving- Congrats and GL on your next hunt there!
