Today's Hunt - Ballpark Ring! Tungsten Carbide with Celtic Scrolling
Today,
I decided, after work, to rehunt a small neighborhood park (has a ball field and a tot lot with a bit of extra grass). I last hunted this park 3 months ago (and beat it to death, because I found a gold ring there... ended up pulling a titanium mens ring and a class ring [returned] at that time).
Knowing that baseball season resulted in a bunch of practices there, I decided to hit the space behind the ball field fence again, to see what was there. Only there about 30 minutes. Sure enough, about 15 feet from a the fence, I had a solid signal, and out popped a Tungsten Carbide Ring! Celtic Scrolling is nice (I've admired them for some time). I didn't even have to dig, though it was in the thatch for sure, and not visible from the surface until I pried it out. I also ran into 3 coin spills and a few extra quarters... Totaled up over $2.50. Was a fun hunt!
I love the fact this hobby is a renewable resource.
I checked the lost and found... no reports of missing rings, and it fit my finger and I'll be wearing it, so this one stays with me.
