Today's Walk

I managed a few pics as I dodged rain showers today at the Riverlands and Wetlands areas nearby. I watched a green heron get hassled by a couple orioles. They must have been afraid of it finding their nest nearby. The poor heron had to fly from tree to tree to escape.

This female cardinal was very vocal when I got too close to it's nest along the canal bank too. The growth was so thick I never did get to see the babies.

Looks like the baby Orioles will still be in the nest for a bit yet.

My mom used to feed cardinals sunflower seeds and they were everywhere. Finally, a bird I recognized. Alaways great pics.
