Got out to the lake with the kids, and my mistress as my wife calls my AT Gold.
swam with some dead presidents.... about $2.45 worth of them and bam, @ 5 feet deep and down 6 inches
another token pops out.

So I took a heavy duty minnow net and shovel with me, dig a shovel full, dump in net and shake.
now able to get the smaller items with much more ease. also pulled out some smaller split shot.

That token was in water? How did you get it to look so perfect? It looks like it has never even been circulated, let alone spent time in water.
Is it brass/copper or aluminum or??

xr7ator, The token is aluminum, most of the coins also come out like that.
But that is after removing the black crust buildup that is common on finds from this local.
the plus side is that the buildup comes off with little effort.
I have a wheat that came out looking like new minus the wear.
I pulled an additional 5 quarters, 2 dimes, 2 nickels and 6 pennies today from this lake all in good shape except the 1983 and newer pennies.
