Detector(s) used
Minelab Safari with SEF 8x6; coming soon: FORS Gold+
I returned from my California trip yesterday exhausted, so after a good night's sleep I got up this morning and performed a few chores, met the wife for lunch, and headed back home. Later in the afternoon I decided to hit the old jail once again in town. They're building a picnic area and restrooms there and had disturbed the dirt recently, so I pulled out the Safari and went to work.

I only had about 45 minutes before dinner but that was all the time I needed to bag a neat 10 cent trade token (which I could have easily mistaken for a washer!) and a silver plated religious pendant.

The token registered +20 on my Safari. Weird. Normally I would have thought it to be a pull tab of some sort as they often can come in that range, but not this time! The pendant's base metal is a very, very light metal, like pot metal, but it must have been the silver plating which gave it a +37 on my detector's screen, unless it is somehow aluminum plating. But up close it looks like silver to me.

Glad to be back home.

HH

Saint Arnulf, you said you wouldnt show anyone THAT pic!

The third picture is a snapshot of me asking the Lord, why?.
Why Lord must I bow down once again at the porcelain altar!

Thus saith the Lord.

You are Gluttonous and have overindulged in the spirits of Heineken.
Repent!

Sorry about that!
Nice finds!

Glad to see your gettin the good stuff Ray. Really dig the token.

Ray, nice token and pendant. There is some history around there and probably only a matter of time before you find a real nice hot spot.

Cool token and pendant there Ray.

I love tokens. I found one almost identical to that one in Everett once. I didn't realize it was a token until I came home and cleaned it up. You're right about almost mistaking it for a washer. That's exactly what I thought it was when I found it. Keep it up.
