Thats it thanks Mackaydon.Mackaydon said:Then again........
Here's one that appears exactly like yours. Allegedly, it was acquired at the Century of Progress exhibition in Chicago in 1934. If so, it might then be attributed to Mentor Stores, Inc. (1916-1937); perhaps from their Chicago store.

Mackaydon said:The "Maverick Editor" for the Token and Medal Society, John Mutch, wrote that a small percentage of tokens are "mavericks" that have no clearly marked place of origin. Thus some token collectors try to track these mavericks down. He provided this information for a similar token. The Menter Clothing Company was once a chain of stores throughout the Midwest. The token was given out as a discount to potential customers. Other Menter store tokens have been attributed to Kansas City, Grand Rapids and Saginaw, Michigan as well as Chicago, Minneapolis, Dayton, and Columbus, Ohio.
The Menter Clothing Company was in existence from 1940 to 1954.
