The coin is a cash from China. Yours looks to be the type that was cast in a mold. Made of bronze. Yours was minted in Peking, China. Probably in the 1800's.

the one on the left is a token. If the other side shows a value or good for something then it is a maverick trade token. If the other side just shows the name of the company or another s then it is a maverick store card or a manufacturers stock token - those were loaned to customers to use while their order of tokens was being made. When the order was delivered they would return the remaining tokens and pay for the ones that were missing. exanimo, ss

I think the coin with the square hole in it is a Chinese cast coin.
