Tonight's Bag Yielded 1 1970 D plus others
Stopped by a credit union today to dump some halves. This cu has a coin counter but will not allow customers to bring in more than $200 per day. Took in my $200 in haves this morning and in the process filled the bag. I had been to this same cu once before about a month ago and dumped another $200. In talking with the teller, she indicated that it had been a while since the bag was filled so I know that about $400 of this bag were my dumps. I asked the teller if they will sell the full bags to customers and she indicated they would. So I purchased the bag being curious about the other $600. This was a $1000 bag.
Finished searching it tonight and found the following:
1 -- Walker
2 -- 1964
2 -- 1965
8 -- 1966
7 -- 1967
10 -- 1968
8 -- 1969
1 -- 1970
This was the third 1970 I have found in two years, after having searched nearly 500,000 halves. They are not plentiful!
Well, picking up 10 more bags/boxes tomorrow. There will be coming from Brinks. HH
