It was worth it. I got several rolls of Canadians, including a 1920, the first year issued, got several rolls of Wheaties including two 1910's. There were at least one 1998, 1999 and 2000 wide am Lincolns, a slightly "off" 1955 with trace doubling, but I'll take it. Then I bought two bags of 1975 P's unsearched, got nice rainbows in one bag but no significant errors. Also got a bag of 1979 P's but they only had a few errors. I did get a nice off center strike and some blank planchets from this bag. I also got a bunch of mis. cents with die cracks and such, but they are not the "expensive" types.
Then I bought a bag of 1972 P's and jackpot city, here I am! It takes almost a week to go through 5,000 pennies, so I started about Christmas. In the 1972 P's I found a "wad" of the 1972 double dies, including what I believe are (predominantly) type 6's at over 100 of them and almost 50 type 3's. I have attached a close up of one of the class 3's. The doubling is clockwise (on both types) and the type threes are much more pronounced than the type six's. I have one more bag to go through. Then I've got to figure out what to do with them. I may have some of the nicer ones since they are all uncirculated.
