Funny how this hobby seems to work. Reminds me of my sports days going through hot and cold times. Its been hot last couple times out for myself.
Went back to the spot I found my first seated coin. After posting here someone mentioned going back and pounding the site. Got me thinking and I figured that was a darn good idea even though it's been gone over by another machine I have. For some reason my tejon can see targets better in this soil.
It was a quick hunt, and it's literally about a 30x 40ft area total that was considered the front yard of what was once a large mid 1800's home. Got another faint but substantial signal with the tejon set at 5c on the disc. Then when I switched over to atl disc. Set at scap it kept singing a smooth tone.....so I dug. After the plug was folded over the pinpointer started singing dead center of the hole. Had a feeling it was something good. One scoop and I see a large silver rim in the clump on the ground.....and my heart skipped a beat! Got a 1918 walking liberty half dollar. Also dug an 1892 indian head with incredible detail and patina. Also, another toasty indian that I believe reads 1891. I think I'm going to dig all repeatable signals in this spot. Thanks for looking and good luck all!
