I have to work all weekend, so with my wife and kids at my inlaws this weekend, I headed out to an old favorite place which has been good at giving some old coins and relics. The weather was just great, and the leaves are pretty well on the ground and off the trees.
Here's the totals for the day. I managed a little loot, some odds and ends, a 1963 silver dime and an old child's play cannon. It is made of cast metal, and looks like it could be cocked with a spring to fire a projectile of some sort. The coil also went over a metal disc depicting a patent for something?
Here are some more images of the cannon. It was buried down about 6 inches beside a tree.
