Good times at a new 1700’s home. I spent about three hours there.

Few thoughts to share:

Met the homeowner and he said no but after conversation he changed his mind and said yes. Thats happened to me few times before.

Homeowner had a Bernese Mountain dog. I have the cousin breed a Swiss mountain dog. Cool to be able to get them together soon.

I don’t know what that pieces is that looks like part of a clipboard. But I don’t think it is part of a clipboard.

The left side of the house is pre-Civil War. The 3 ringer was in the side yard there.

The button was on other side of house.

Homeowner has been there for over 50 years and only one other person detected and very briefly.

The backyard was loaded with iron stuff, lots of nails and other slag. This place will take years to thoroughly explore.

The little bent suspender buckle has writing on it but I have not yet made it out.

I showed the homeowner every single find and offered them to him. He let me keep everything. That’s usually the case. Super nice guy with lots of historical knowledge. Look forward to speaking with again

I would kill to be able to own and remodel this treasure.

Thanks for reading

Gorgeous old house. You have a really great protocol for interacting with the owner.

The suspender buckle looks like an "Improved Cantab Buckle."
