Found this little beauty today.
Precious metal or not, a very nice looking piece with an elaborate catch style that I have never seen before.
Under magnification the hallmark looks like RSE 825, the high res pic kinda looks more like 925, which makes more sense - Except that it does not appear to be silver.
I am thinking plated something, anyone have any ideas about this ?

Ah, so high quality junk then, about what I thought.

Nice find. Looks like 925. Good job!

NICE FIND Xraywolf !!!
LOOKS LIKE 925 TO ME ALSO !

Looks to be solid silver......maybe a little tarnish makes it look ....not so silvery.
Nice find!

Hmm I dunno about silver, doesn't have the look, but maybe.
I'm gonna clean it off and give it to my daughter, she took a liking to it already.
I'll tell her the stones are real so be very careful, then when she loses it she'll feel trashed.

nice find.....Matt

Could also be gold plated silver (vermiel), check that option out.

exactly what I was abut to write 99% chance it's vermiel...(just so you know it is Sterling silver 92.50% =925)vermiel seems to be the more popular type of jewerly these days..there is a small chance the diamonds are real so I would have them tested...

Thanks for the comments folks

I have learned long ago to assume that anything I find is scrap until proven otherwise. I did get a quick little boost what I found out it wasn't foil at least, but it was getting dark so I just stuffed it in my pouch and moved on.

I have a diamond tester, they came back negative.
Of course the testers themselves aren't 100% accurate.

Well at least you know that it IS sterling silver AND it is in nice wearable condition!

Congrats!
