Searching play-lot used by little-bitty kids, I found a gold-plated "Hooters" token :). 5 minutes later, a marlin size fish hook, a double-edge razor blade & broken glass (foil attached). Some people should be shot.

Yep!
If the public only knew what we do for them!
Can't tell you how many sharp pointy things I have hauled off, especially at the beach, where they think if they bury it, it will magically go away! It is so hard to ground balance at schools there is so much trash there.

Bravo for cleaning up after the idiots!

I found a 6 inch steak knife in a sandbox that was completely covered and blade up, just under the surface of the sand.

You wouldn't believe some of sharp n dangerous items I uncover while detecting. Always wear gloves!
Nice job removing what you found!
Peace

Bullets, condoms, and knives are pretty common on the lots I hunt.

Yup, I have removed many of these items as well. It really demonstrates the slide of the public...

wow you guys have dug up some nasty stuff. Worst I have ever dug up would be old ripped apart tin cans and fish hooks (which can be nasty too). Good job cleaning the dangerous goods out of the tot lots. +1 for MDers. :)

I have seen needles in the weeds of parks and even parking lots that some junkie most likely tossed away.

Really sad. Just think that junkie is someone's son or daughter... really sad.

On the news this morning they warned parents about turning their children loose on public play grounds. Someone found razor blades glued to the equipment at one of the local play grounds. What is wrong with people these days.

When I returned to my car after hunting yesterday, I noticed a condom on the ground at the elementary school parking lot. I didn't take that trash out with me. :tongue3:

I have used a LONG stick before and deposited said condom in a dumpster or trash can. I can only imagine a little kid picking it up and putting it in their mouth... some people should just be shot!

Just for the record, ammunition isn't all that dangerous.

First, you have to hit the primer to ignite it - hard. If you managed to do that with a rock or something (very difficult), then the case will rupture. Ammunition doesn't "shoot" unless it's enclosed in a chamber.

It probably got there from a kid, anyhow. I know that when I'm out hunting, I come home with the same 31 rounds of .357sig I left the house with. It's possible a few empty cases have fallen out the drain holes in the floorboard of my Jeep, though...

Agreed, ammo isn't really dangerous. People sometimes are afraid of it because the media has taught most of this country to be scared of anything related to guns...
