Total finds from the "Coronet Cent House"

Well finding my first two coronet cents here has caused me to dub it The Coronet Cent House. Buillt in 1919 it stands on a 1 acre lot in an area where there was certainly activity prior to that. Here's the entire set of finds after about 4 (partial) days of digging (minus the trash): enjoy! GD

Re: Total finds from the "Coronet Cent House"

I don't know but the button below the dragonfly looks similar to a George Washington Inaugural to me, great finds!

Re: Total finds from the "Coronet Cent House"

Looks like you might have an original St Francis charm as well those are collectors items if has maker engraved on the back.

Re: Total finds from the "Coronet Cent House"

Just curious what makes you think that is a CW buckle? I have no idea but want to be able to spot them in the future.

Re: Total finds from the "Coronet Cent House"

Nice finds, congrats on the silver and the buckle sure does look CW! HH, Mike

Check out this site on George washingtong buttons. there is one that is close but I don't think its the same one. It was not part of the collection . He called it a NY pattern. maybe an upgrade of the original?

anyway real nice site with lots of pictures

Re: Total finds from the "Coronet Cent House"

Thanks for the closeup, it doesn't look like the one I was thinking of, I have the same pics as in the above link by tim. But, it looks like a higher quality button in nice shape, likely of at least 1800's origin. If I couldn't have it checked out or someone on here price it for you I would definitely take good care of it just in case, you never know...like tim said, could be an upgrade. Congrats on the great finds, now get back out there and hit it hard and slow and deep.

Re: Total finds from the "Coronet Cent House"

Wow, if you found that much with a site that's that old, there's bound to be more. Keep hunting!
