Pounded away today! Tough haul, some clad at a new spot. Wasn't feeling it there so I ventured back to the court house. It's a tough spot, iron I guess??? Lots of bouncy signals. Managed to dig my 3rd Indian head penny. The sucker took me 15 minutes to dig out from under a tree root. Without the sunray, no way would I have got it. But everytime I stuck it in the hole....bang..bang..bang coin!!! Other than that, just modern clad, small matchbox car, and a pocket knife.

beautiful find... full readable LIBERTY, woohoo!! HH,
Chris

PS I can't wait for my pinpointer to arrive, for those tree root diggings!

I feel your pain with the digging in the roots! Without my sunray I would've given up on many coins, but thankfully I didn't, and neither did you! Nice coin!

Great looking IH...nice patina. Please tell me--newbie to MDing--what a sunray is. Pinpointer?

Sunray is a brand of pinpointer / probe. They are made to plug into your metal detector and when you flip the switch it is like having a little mini detector to stick into the hole that still makes the same sounds into your headphones as your regular metal detector coil would.

Beautiful coin you have there. I feel the same way about my sunray probe. Wouldn't want to hunt without it. Eric

Very nice.....same year my great grandma was born!

Great coin!

Every time I see your postings, I start singing that song.....

nice indian ;) ;) -- w/out my sunray I would feel crippled -- the only must have accessory if they are made for your detector
