I'm developing quite a collection of matchbox cars...is there any way to discriminate them out while still finding quarters...they show up same vdi and same target identifier...I have not found a way this far and my detector finds box is starting to look like a used car lot

I get little cars all of the time. The cool ones are called Tootsie Toys (old). The newer ones are just a pain. I dug 2 yesterday. Any place where there were/are little boys... you WILL dig those little cars. The best guy I know has hundreds of them. They are just a part of the scene.

If you do not dig the signal, you will miss some good targets. You might have to dig 30 little cars, but when a silver quarter comes up, it will all be worth it.

Hope that helps. GL&HH.

That's kinda what I figured....they are really cool to find though...I've found 15 in the last week..lol

All 1980s era match box...I did find a small yellow car that u can't identify...I'll post a pic when I get off work

That ....I.....can't identify

got two more today, one that didn't survive the mower and a nice race car that the grandson will love to play with, also have an assortment of jets, planes and helicopters with a couple of trucks thrown in. these are the very things that a hundred years from now will be awesome digs.

I absolutely love to find the cars, airplanes! My collection is starting to grow too! image.webpimage.webp

Why would you want to discriminate them out? They can be worth some money if you find the right one. If not, just give it to your kids to play with or some other kid if you don't want to mess with them or bring them to a swap meet/flea market and sell them.

I have approx 25 now and love finding them :)

The grandkids are playing with about 50 that I have found. The ones minus the wheels go in a separate pile.

Sweeeeeeeeet!
