Kind of looks like a cap gun I had as a kid. Can't help with the manufacturer or model, though.
Good luck and HH,
Bob

Doesn't look like it opens up to load caps into... am I right? But it's in great shape...was that dug? I can't figure the maker either, but it looks like it couldn't be newer than the 1950's... but thats just my gut feeling. What are the grips made of? Nice find! -Ben

I cleaned it when I got home. It was about three inches down. It's construction is just three pieces. Each side is one piece and the Hammer and trigger are one piece. It doesn't open up at all. It's also smaller than most toy guns I've seen. here's another photo with a quarter.

The barrell is hollow about an inch back. The trigger and hammer piece do move freely. When you pull the hammer back the trigger moves forward and when you pull the trigger the hammer goes to the shut position. It's one piece. I don't think it's iron. Steel maybe.

No markings anywhere on it? Even a couple of letters might help point us in the right direction. Nice find though!

Went to an old house place today with a friend and found this toy gun. Anybody have any info on when it might have been made?

Common single cap shot. 1940's to 1950's. Good find! Worth about $8.00 to $10.00 in todays market I would think.
