Toys and silver!

Today I had some time to kill so I loaded up the etrac and headed off to a house that was just demolished. nothing terribly old I'm thinking mid century. I usually don't like digging modern stuff but I didn't feel like going on a two mile hike to my other site. There was a lot of junk like roof flashing and pull tabs so I ignored the gold settings. First decent target was a hubley #5 race car still has the driver. It's a bit toasty but I think it's cool. Then about a foot away I got a small pocket spill with two Wheatys that I can't read the years and a 37 Washington. Not as old as I would like but heck it's silver I'll take it. Then for about an hour I dug nothing but junk until I found the hubley Texan jr cap gun the most complete I've ever found. Not to bad of a hunt thanks for looking- justin

I think I may have just recently found parts of that same cap gun--the scrollwork on the barrel looks very familiar. I will clean it up and post some pics.

That would be awesome. Most cap guns I find seem to disintegrate one I get them out of the ground.

Yup. ON my second cap gun, both, sadly, both are in bad shape.

Those are some very cool finds Justin, congrats on the silver too!
I really like the Hubley #5 race car, I've seen those sell for big money when complete. I found this 1948 Lesney Road Roller in decent condition a couple of weeks ago!

Wow look at the paint on that. It came out of the ground that way? The hubley car is one of favorite finds.
