Tractor Part?

Looks like lead ball mold, may be an axle cover on a tractor. Any Help? It's about eight inches long. (really)

If it's from a tractor, be careful handling it and alway be fully clothed when doing so; you can get gonorrhea from messing around tractors while wearing a batihing suit...

Thanks for the help. I can imangine it to be a hitch ball cover as suggested, designed to be semi permanent on a fairly heavy rig. I suppose its fairly modern.
