Glass trade beads off my property N. California Its been rainy and cold last few days . It makes a good rainy day project to string up a few all personal finds off a large native camp . The strand has about 196 beads a little larger than those on the penny . The little red bead is the smallest faceted bead I have found . They look like ear spools on those pennies .

Around here, I use to see a lot of older, like a couple of generations, local people’s or families frames. They all were full of strung beads. My grandma had a string around 6 feet long. She targeted them, every ant hill had a few of them.
I personal have never found a bead in ant pile. I hunt the exact piece of ground and have looked at every one I see, even today. It a funny thing to me.

What’s that last little red bead made out of? Glass?

The rest of that string looks like native stones?

Tesorodeoro there all glass .

Cold and windy with snow flurries this morning sat by the wood stove and strung some micro glass trade beads . All from a large camp N. California then washed what was left in the muddy jar . Waiting for another rainy day .

Nery nice finds guys, the only beads I have ever found are made from shells. Only white color and not really any attempt to make them uniform size. However its a thrill to find them.
