What don't you like about the Multi Kruzer?

Never said I didn't like it. An absolute park and school yard killer. Never had a better detector for separation. The beach? Not so much. As good as most in the dry sand but not stable in or around the water at the beaches I frequent. Lots of black sand. I would keep it if I had the cash on hand for the CZ 21 or 20, but unfortunately that is not the case. And believe me when I say I tried everything I could to get the Kruzer to work the water. By the time I had it dialed in, without too much falseing, I couldn't pick up my giant 15 gram wedding band deeper than 4" and that ain't gonna get it done by a long shot. This is testing done days on end at the water line. It's mostly about wanting to beach hunt more than park hunt, but with the ability to if I want

A CZ 21 isn't exactly a great land machine either. Why not get an Equinox and have the best of both worlds?

mainly because I'm not familiar with the thousands of different tones mine Labs put out plus I want to be able to go really deep in the water should I ever get the chance and that 10ft maximum on the Equinox isn't going to get it done. And I've heard too many horror stories online about the floppy shafts in a rush to get them to the market.

For sure if you're going deeper than 10', you're going to need a dive machine. The different tones argument won't hold water however as you can change that to just two if you want. With the new 12 X 15 " coil, the depth might not be much different either. We'll soon know......

I for one didnt like the floopy SHORT CZ shaft...... so what did i have to do? Change it. The Nox shaft is a travel shaft ..... which most of us wanted for our water machines. Even the Xcal .... we dont use that shaft. Going deeper..... you will want a dive shaft. So what im saying is ... shaft isnt an issue. I also agree..... dirt hunting i really prefer having a TID screen, faster recovery, ability to change phones and coils, with choices of freqs in certain conditions. Multi use machines are the thing..... and thats seems to be what you want. Hard to beat a 3 year warranty. No you cant dive with it......but then you have to get certified and add equipment.... there goes another $3000 lol.

I have a multi use machine in the multi kruiser that I'm trying to trade. I actually had a CZ 20 years ago and kick myself every time I think about selling it off. I'm well aware of the advantages and disadvantages of the CZ 21, but I am a tone hunter primarily, I'm not worried about losing a vdi screen. I appreciate the advice and Nuggets of good information but there are really only two detectors I'm currently interested in. One is the CZ 20/21 the other would be this new Fisher Aqua Manta I keep hearing about that they never seem to be able to produce. This post, however, was never meant to be about what everyone thinks I should get as much as if you have one that you would like to trade.

Does anyone out there have or know of someone that has a Fisher CZ 20 or 21 collecting dust in a closet somewhere? If so I have an almost new makro multi cruiser with two coils and the external battery pack available for trade. Let me know

Please keep in mind since your not a charter member only charter members can reply with offers to sell or trade. All non cm offers will be deleted. Charter member must be involved in all sells or trades except for supporting vendors.

The wobble on equinox shafts has been blown way out of proportion, it can easily be fixed with the plumber's tape for threads on plumbing pipes.

Ah, ok, understood. Feel free to delete the post.

Hey look!! I'm charter now

Very cool on the CM. Hope you find a cz21 that you can use. Best of luck!

I did find one!!! I should have it early next week. CZ 21 with an 8" coil and an aftermarket straight shaft. It may be the offseason and I'm sure the targets will be few, but I can't wait to hit the beach.
