"Trail marker?"

looking for some info on what this is? is it a trail marker and if so what info is it giving any help would be greatly appreciated!

I agree, a better picture is needed. One with more surrounding info if possible - at the end of the day every little bit helps. Going on whats posted I see soldier with helmet - low ranking just a private. Consider direction eyes are looking in as major sign might be laying in that direction.

Just an uneducated guess from a novice.

i cant figure out how to get a better pic but i think your way off, it looks like a triangle with 3 circles a line connecting the bottom one with the right one and a arrow pointing up from the bottom circle between the top 2 circles

What is on the wall above it?
or on top of the cliff?

You should find a triangl marked with Double stones at each corner.
This is telling you where to look and where to dig.

If nothing is found above or on top ...
Look behind you as you face this sign.

Bailyo69 You could be right at that. Looks like I fell for the bait. The center line looks like an arrow pointing up hence Old Dog wanting to know whats above. You don't get better than old dog he sure knows his stuff, heed his advice.

Notice there is some possible additional information in the lower and upper right circle To me it also looks like a soldier, feather. Its probably both that and...more concrete info.

Multiple meanings or signs built into one is what I see time and again. Another thing I wonder is if it is also an upside down bell shape though I do not see the knocker.

Of course the important pertinent information is the "triangle"/circle carvings. Though the bottom part of the triangle..is not really pointed so I would hesitate to call it a triangle. The things
I mention are just sidelights.

Also.. the face could be construed as a bears face too, with those little rounded ears on top at each side.

not exactly sure what it is that's why i did this post, in hopes i could get some input on it. I do believe it is a marker of some kind but not sure how to read the info it is giving. Thanks to all for the great info!!
