Has anybody researched the train wreck that occurred north of Nashville in 1918. I saw this on the History Channell a couple of nights ago. The two trains collided head-on with a combined speed of about 100 MPH causing 102 deaths with even more injuries. Most of the cars were made of wood like the old west cars seen in the movies and splintered on impact. The wreck occurred north of Nashville somewhere on a north-south rail line.
