Traveling to Jamaica

I have travel with my metal detector before but not to Jamaica. Anyone ever been there and did you have any issues through the airports?

I called the hotel and they thought I would have issues but they had no idea what a metal detector was!

Be careful which beaches you go to. There are taxi's that can take you to private protected compound resort beaches.

Been there with a cruise line, no problem with detectors
