I'm planning a trip to Treasure Coast in March. What's the story on those beaches right now? Has there been a bunch of Beach Renourishment going on there? Any pointers on where I'd stand a chance with my detector would be great.

Yes, the Treasure Coast beaches were renourished this past year with over 12 feet of sand. How much of that fresh sand remains by next month depends on storms. Though the odds are small there is always the possibility of finding a piece of treasure.

Seeing how Treasure_Hunter lives there I would LISTEN TO HIM !!!

Treasure Hunter is right. Most beaches here are renourished from Cocoa Beach south to Vero. Where I live in Indialantic Beach there is still quite a lot of sand. People swing their detectors daily so come on down & try. 80's tomorrow.

Well, I'm gonna be in Sebastian anyway so I'm gonna give it a shot.

Swinging the beach will be fun. Kinda like Vegas, chances are you'll crap out but you never really know. Have fun is the main thing. Drive north up A1A to New England Eatery & have some good food & drink.

Somewhere I saw an announcement where they are going to start re-nourish the beach from Ft. Pierce to Jensen Beach beginning in March.
