Last week I went to Iowa from Colorado to celebrate my mom's 94th birthday and being they mine limestone underground I can also do a little business out that way. Coming home instead of running the interstate's we're there are many antique shops along those routes, full of completely over priced crap they sell to the novice collectors, I instead headed back to Colorado on the old pre-interstate, state highways that take you right though all the off beating little towns. It is along these roads and little towns you will find the true antiques that are from the late Victorian times, through the Art Deco, WWII and into the 50s and 60s. These are some things I found. The Victorian bisque figure was in a smaller TS for $6.98, At a small antique shop the 14K peal earrings cost me $16.49 and I found this crown and stem missing 14K white gold ladies Longines for less than the earrings at $14.38. My motto for pawn shop, antique store and TS treasure hunting trip, is "Take the Back roads"
