Hi
Finally caved and bought an electronic pinpointer.
My analog is in the bag still. Blunted 17 inch Screwdriver.
Anyway- my ocd head tells me dig 100 targets every time when i go hunting. Minimum.
Point being, I rather leave my pinpointer switched on. It stays on for 5 minutes.
But now I need three hands!
Otherwise it sounds like the bells of Saint Margerets!
Here's the solution- hope it makes sense to some people with the same problem
