It was another great day to be in the woods metal detecting today. Other than the small musket ball, we didn't find any Civil War stuff (commonly found at this site). I did manage to find two pocket knives, two "V" Nickels (1906 and 1889), a wheat penny (1918), a silver plated fork, half of an 1800s gold plated cuff link, a few other interesting items, and a TON of trash. The 1889 nickel is TOASTED! I could barely make out the date. I don't find V Nickels very often, so I'm not complaining ;). My buddy Craig got a few coins, a neat gold plated pin from the 1800s, and a lot of trash as well. All in all it was a pretty good day! Thanks for looking and HH!

Excellent saves! I love the woods at this time of year...Looks like a great place to spend time at whether you're finding anything or not. Ddf
