Trouble with lead piece

I'm having a hard time finding examples on the Internet. What is it? I know it's not a nail but I can't find the right words to search on the Internet. Thanks in advance AGAIN

Looks like lead bar stock. This is sometimes used as a window sash weight (thinner than the iron variety). Is/was there a hole on one end where it may have attached to a string?

Thank you! Humm...I don't see a hole but one end looks a bit rough. Could be broken off?
