Trouble with my Tesoro

Hello all, This is my first post after many months of admiring all your great finds and wealth of information. I have had a Tesoro Elderado for about 13 years and it has served me well. While out today, it began to sputter and the tone from a good target would fall off half way through the sweep over it. Put a new battery in, and re tuned it to the ground. Still could not get it to act right. Any suggestions or similar experiences? Have not contacted Tesoro yet, thought I would pick your brains first.

hi yes had that problem with an ex girl friend dumped and got new model

Turned out it was faulty headphones that were giving me problems, Elderado works fine.

sounds to me like when the coil started dying on my Eldorado .....Hate to say it but she needs an ER visit to see the Doc
