Tried to post photos last week when there was a site problem with posting photos. Here's another try.
Too cold here (for my old bones anyways) to metal detect and the ground is frozen. Was walking back to my car last week in a shopping center parking lot when I spied a glint of gold at the edge of a melting pile of snow left by the plow. Walked over to investigate figuring it was probably junk or at best costume jewelry. Picked it up and was pleasantly surprised!! Earring is trashed, but it is 1.3 grams of 14K!! Better value wise than a bunch of clad or even a couple of common silver coins.
