trying to date/value silver ring

Without some markings on the inside of the ring (the maker's mark along with others markings), I believe that it would be fairly hard to actually date the ring.

If it is marked STERLING, then is there also a mark?

Yes it is marked Sterling haven't found any other marks. Nice try Carolina Tom thanks for that awesome spot as well
