So its pretty obviouse that there are people who love or hate Diggers, and thats Ok. This nation wasnt built on silent people. I am sure there is a ton of stuff that you guys would have liked to see on the show but seriously it took 8 long days to film each episode and many sites that didnt make the cut. All of the finds from the prison episode was given to the museum for their display. All holes were filled in and every blade of grass was put back in place. ATC has been putting out DVD's for several years and have a loyal following, they started making DVD's because the ones that were out were pretty plain. The finds are not staged and if any of you have ever watched the DVD's you would know that each team member gets excited when we find things, its why we do it. We dont profit from detecting We all have full time jobs that we work hard at so when we get a chance every weekend to get out and find some juice we are on it. We do nothing to desicrate the hobby and never anything against the law. We get excited, you will never see us say "hey tim come over and check out the interesting artifact that I have excuvated from this site with my tweezers and paint brush." As detectorists we should support each other and enjoy what we have, weather we are stuffy or idiotic. challenges, games and jokes on eachother is all part of the enjoyment.

Thanks! My kids and I truly enjoyed the show. It was very entertaining and painted metal detecting in a positive light. Many archeologists are getting their panties in a bunch. But I guess that is to be expected.

I love your energy and enthusiasm. Without it, the show would simply not be enjoyable to watch. Let's face it... The majority of metal detectorists are just like the majority of archeologists out there: boring stiffs. Many of the people complaining about the show being unprofessional are probably the types of people who others consider to be creepy and backward. If they ever appeared on TV the public would be turning the channel immediately.

Good luck and thanks for the information about the show.

And another thing..... If you are donating the finds then you should be sure to point that out in the show.

Well I'm glad to see your show may be a success.. I voiced my concern on your other thread, especially with perhaps 'planted' items and that was only do to some of the wording...

Along with the suggestion from mts, you may also want to tell the amount of time involved to garner enough findings to make a show..

If it doesn't already have a theme song, may I suggest the Beatles "Eight Days A Week" :laughing7:

So in 8 days, you still couldn't make any good finds for the first episode? Many sites that didn't make the cut? There were worse sites than the ones filmed? Seriously, just going to a park would have produced more good finds than the ones found on the show.

Much tougher for the show to put a "value" on something when you give it away for free.

Get a GPS unit and use it. Log every find including trash, even if you are donating stuff. Measure the depth etc. Keep a log of the finds and such information in sites used for the show.
It will not stop the archeologist from attacking NG or Spike. Yet it should slow them down. there responses will have to be a bit more than promoting looting.

Remember listed Historical sites are such the land owner can give you permission, yet such acts can and have lost the status and the tax breaks from such a listing.. just some thing else to be aware of. It wont cause you any problems just the land owner if some one complained.

Were did the Bs terminology come from.

Make you all sound like some kinda drug addicts?? The cops will be thinking you are twiggers or some thing, lOL
