Turtle fossil shell

Have had this turtle fossil shell that my father found and gave to me 25yrs. ago. Just wonder how old and its worth. Found in upstate New York. Can anyone advise me where to take it?

depending on where it was found in NY, you could try your local college, I take my indian artifacts to cornell univ for info.
