I really don't know much about buttons. I found these two in a park near Coshocton, OH. They were both under an old oak tree and were not much fun digging out of the roots and concrete-like soil. I didn't find any old coins at the site so I am trying to get an idea of how old they may be. One is a flat button that says, "Imperial Orange Gilt" on the back and is blank on the other side. The other is a Crown Overall button. I did some Googling but really couldn't find anything that gave me a definitive date range for year of production. Any help would be appreciated!
Also any cleaning advice would be welcome.

The Imperial Orange Gilt button is a flat button made in the UK and would date around 1810 to the early 1830's.
Here's a site with some interesting photos dealing with Crown Overalls:

Welcome to the forum!
Neat find :)
