Two objects found close together ?

I see the round object has a modern day looking screw so I'm stumped as to age. Looks almost like a watch part to me and has the number 1 on it. The other object I'm just scratching my head as usual. Any guesses on either of these? They both look like either brass or copper.

The round thing was about the size of a half dollar at best. I'm guessing it could be just a watch part. The other object is about 3 inches long.
