I found my two best Mercury dimes this week, based entirely on condition. The first is a 1924-S which has some value in higher grades, so it only got rinsed with water and a gentle brushing with a toothbrush. It was pulled from the turf in Golden Gate Park on Tuesday.
The second was found yesterday. This was in a different area that I had hunted once before, not Golden Gate Park. Because the 1928 doesn't have much premium value even in the higher grade, I gave it a gentle massage with some baking soda. It is pretty close to full bands, but not quite. Despite the nick on her cheek, I think the 1928 is more appealing than the 24.

Which do you like better?
Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!
