Start checking out any and All Boat Docks in your area.

Look for a outfit like this.

http://u-fabboats.com/

They use them for floating docks too.

Relicdude . I would appreciate it if you could send me a picture . All you other guys , he' i know about the dealers but their prices are outrageous . Cornelius

I can get you a very cheap and working pontoon boat in southeast Florida (including trailor). PM me if interested.

Lucky . I am needing the pontoons to build a working boat for our adventure on the West coast of Florida . I have to add a few things and do some rebuilding . So I am interested in your offer if the price is OK . Since Aquanut is working with me on this adventure I would like his advice on buying this boat . Cornelius

I see docks for sale all the time would that work ? also boats and harbors always has pontoons for sale as well. they have an online magazine as well.

Cornelius,

Check the scrap metal yards.I see whole pontoon boats get scrapped every week. Also jet aircraft drop tanks.

You could always strap a bunch of plastic or steel 55 gallon barrels together end to end to make 2 pontoons.Only 1 problem. You may get a visit from the CG or marine patrol with them thinking you just sailed in from cuba.

Take a look at the plastic injected molded pontoons I used.
They are unsinkable foam filled and are interlocking sections.

You can always try craigslist. There are usually some for sale on there. Both
aluminum and fiberglass. Good luck on your hunt. HH.Joe

Didn't know you wanted them in Florida!

Hell I be just about every Marina there has a Derelict Party boat on the cheap.

Cornelius,
I will keep a look out and see what I can find. pm me with how much your willing to spend, That will make the search easier.
Jeff

What about the big black plastic wanter pipes? They come in just about all sizes. We use these all the time in Europe

Fisheye, any idea what the drop tanks are selling for? I'm looking for one (1) and they are not all that common up here (as far as available to the general public - even as scrap). I'll be down in july/aug to pick it up.

Sargent Fletcher is the company that makes them.

I purchased 16 of them from government liquidation
for a crazy friend of mine that thought he was going to build
SDV's, Seal delivery vehicles - or wet subs. They cost the government
$500,000.00 for the 16 and come diss assembled in a big fiberglass
water tight box 16 by 4 by 4 feet!

He purchased a few fiberglass versions as well but I told him
the buoyancy factor would be easier to deal with if he had the aluminum
versions.

So, to get to the answer of your question - make a reasonable offer on
the fiberglass units and you will own them. They are in Fort Liquirdale.
