Did you find a lot of hairpins, pop tabs and bottle caps? Are you running any discrimination? Congrats on the rings!!

I think I found 3 or 4 Bobby pins, a couple pull tabs, and 5 or 6 rusted up screws or nails. Also a couple pieces of copper wire. I use no discrimination and dig everything, which can be a bear when I get on to a small rusted screw. If you dig everything, you miss nothing. Simple.
 

As far as bottle caps go, I primarily stay at or in the water and there isn't too much of that in the surf.

I totally agree with you on that regard as one of my best ring finds was nothing but a faint whisper on the seahunter.
